B31 Voices has once again partnered with Morrisons Rubery for a Christmas Toy Appeal to benefit children in south west Birmingham.

Kevan Humphries

This year’s appeal was launched yesterday (Friday 17th November) with a generous donation from Morrisons night worker Kevan Humphries, who donates £100 of gifts every single year!

Kevan said: “It’s an honour to give to the toy appeal every year. Christmas is about giving and it’s good to know that my donation helps put smiles on the faces of local children.”

This year’s Christmas Toy Appeal will support:

Morrisons Rubery Community Champion Jane Williams said: “For this year’s Christmas Toy Appeal we have chosen to support Northfield Forward Steps at Frankley Children’s Centre alongside Women’s Aid again. With the cost of living crisis adding to the challenges faced by the most vulnerable in our communities, it’s important to support children suffering from the effects of poverty and domestic violence.

“Please help us to help our future generation by donating if you can.”

B31 Voices director Marty said: “This year, families are facing extra pressure with the cost of living crisis – the most vulnerable are struggling to make ends meet and Christmas will be a challenge for many.

“The wonderful Forward Steps and Women’s Aid support children across south west Birmingham and we know that your generous donations will bring a little bit of happiness to children and their families this festive season.

“It’s a privilege to be able to work with Morrisons again this year to help bring a little joy to local children this Christmas – it’s humbling how the community always gets behind this appeal.”

Donations of new and unwrapped toys and gifts can be dropped in the donation crate by the community notice board behind the checkouts at Morrisons Rubery, Great Park.

🙏Thank you so much for your support 🙏
