OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB
- The Operations Manager is responsible for the MG Aftersales business when the Head of Aftersales is away from the business – stand in for selected senior roles within the department as needed – is expected to understand the workings of the Aftersales business and be flexible to manage roles and activities as needed. This role is for a driven individual to be trained over a number of years to step into the Head of Aftersales role when the current occupant retires.
MAIN ACTIVITIES AND TASKS
- – To work closely with the Aftersales team across all areas of the business.
- – Develop a full understanding of each section of the Aftersales business
- – Spend time in each section of the Aftersales business for a number of months
- – Project management – Commercial Engine and Customer retention to launch and beyond
- – Aftersales dealer conference development – Theme and activity
- – Improvement control from the conference – Working across the whole team to improve process and advise dealers of these changes to meet business needs
- – Regional meeting planning the Aftersales actions
- – Aftersales – Owners section on MG.co.uk mange and edit data loaded
- – New car launch – Project manage and make sure the Aftersales team are meeting their activities and KPI for launch
- – Aftersales Standards – Review and agree any changes – Publish annually
- – Policy and procedures across the department – Review and manage
- – ROMs set with HoAP ROM quarterly task and report their activity
- – Dealer visits – Joint with ROMs as needed
- – Develop best practice processes as needed to help the Aftersales to improve their role
- – Work with the MG Sales Centre as needed
- – Help write the six monthly board report
- – Any other tasks and activities as needed

- – High level of communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to present at all levels.
- – Full understanding of all Microsoft tools
- – Able to take on work with short notice and meet tight deadlines
- – Degree level role
