A local animal rescue is asking for information after a cat ‘taped’ to tree was rescued by member of the public.
The ginger and white feline was found taped and tied with shoelaces to a tree on Simmons Drive, Quinton today (8th June) by a local resident –  the kind hearted person took the cat to Wellcat Animal Rescue and Re-homing Centre in Quinton.
The local rescue charity is now keeping the cat safe whilst trying to trace the owner.
A spokesperson for Wellcat said: “he had obviously been tied with the shoe lace for a long time as it has worn into his neck”
Adding: “he is a friendly neutered cat [-] we are looking for anyone with any information on who has done this to him”
