West Midlands Police officers arrested five teenagers in Northfield on Sunday (2nd August) after spotting them acting suspiciously in a car.
The Skybridge team – tasked with pro-actively tackling theft, burglary, robbery and vehicle crime across the city – were patrolling around Northfield when they spotted the car.
After the vehicle failed to stop, officers spotted the group in Open Field Close, off Rea Valley Drive.
Five boys, aged 14 to 18, were detained by officers after a short chase on foot.
The car was found to have been stolen earlier that evening and a knife was also recovered from the vehicle.
All five were arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.
