Sainsburys Northfield store want your suggestions of a local charity to support for the next year.
The Local Charity Partner Scheme is a nationwide initiative allowing stores to give fundraising and awareness support to a different local charity each year.
The Northfield store have spent the last 12 months supporting the Life Line Food Bank based at Hollymoor Chapel and, the previous year, worked with Victoria School.
To nominate a local charity, collect a nomination form in store at customer services or complete the online nomination form. The organisation you nominate must be a registered charity.
Nominations should be made before 8th June 2014.

Pfft, businesses doing “charity” just smacks far too much of buying good PR. Tax-free as well.
Another version of Sainburys charity work is using workfare labour[1], which at the least undermines the salaries of Sainburys employees.

That workfare thing just sounds like ‘work experience’ to me, which students do all the time to try to help themselves get a job. The only benefit claimants moaning about that are the ones who dont ever intend to get a job.
