The best eclipse of the sun since 1999’s total eclipse will be visible in the UK tonight (Wednesday 12th August). Around 90% of the sun will be covered by the moon. ☀️🌝
And from 10pm (best around midnight) you’ll be able to see the peak of the Perseids meteor shower! ☄️

🌑Maximum eclipse: 7.11pm
☀️Eclipse ends: 8.05pm

🕶️☀️ PLEASE DO NOT LOOK DIRECTLY AT THE SUN – through your eyes, a telescope or camera viewfinder! Even in total eclipse, the sun’s rays can permanently damage your vision!
