A pedestrian has been injured after she was involved in a collision with a car in Bournville this morning (Saturday 11th April).

The incident happened at around 10am in Linden Road, at the junction of Woodbrooke Road.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson confirmed that they were called to reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian at approximately 10.10am.

The spokesperson said: “A woman has been taken to hospital, the extent of her injuries are not known at this stage.”

Local residents said an air ambulance had landed in a nearby car park. West Midlands Ambulance Service have been contacted for a statement.

Linden Road – between Bournville Lane and Woodbrooke Road – remained closed as of 2.45pm.
