A big beautiful elderly horse was helped back to his hooves at his Kings Norton stable.
The thirty-37-year old gelding named Bruno had sadly fallen in his stable sometime during the early hours.
The much adored handsome giant (15.3 hands) was found laying down in the morning by his owner – the poor boy was exhausted from trying to get himself up on to all fours.
Bruno’s loving owner acted quickly and contacted the Corner House Equine Clinic (CHEC) and the Fire Service.
A Crew from Bromyard Fire Station attended to assist in lifting Bruno to his feet.
Bromyard Fire Station: “This morning we were called out to Bruno a 37 year old gelding, unfortunately he was unable to get himself up.
With help from Beth at Corner House Equine Clinic and the crew from Bromsgrove Fire Station we managed to skid Bruno out of the stable.
With help from the local farmer and his telehandler, we attached our specialist lifting strops to enable us to lift him safely onto his feet, he then walked off to go and ejoy some much needed grass!”
