Two men, aged 24 and 39, were arrested on suspicion of firearms and drugs offenced after police attended an address in Bartley Green yesterday evening (Tuesday 29th September).
West Midlands Police – including firearms officers – swooped at the address in Monmouth Road, recovering “drugs and a number of firearms”.
Local reports yesterday evening said shots were heard but a police spokesperson confirmed today that no shots were fired and that police attended based on information received.
Earlier yesterday, a cannabis farm was uncovered when police raided another Bartley Green address, removing over £300,000 worth of drugs.
The Bartley Green neighbourhood team thanked residents on the WMNow messaging service, saying: “We would like to thank the community for the intelligence received which enabled us to execute this warrant. Your information helps us to keep our streets safer so please keep it coming.
