West Mercia Police officers are investigating the attempted theft of a car after a man grabbed a woman’s car keys in a Frankley layby on Tuesday (26th May).
The woman told B31 Voices that she had stopped at the layby in Egghill Lane at around 6.20pm, to make a phone call, when the man snatched her keys through her open window. She said he attempted to pull her from the car but she fought back and he was unsuccessful.
West Midlands Police confirmed their investigation, saying: “Officers are investigating the attempted theft of a motor vehicle on Egghill Lane in Frankley at around 6.20pm on Tuesday night (26 May).
“The victim was parked in a layby when the suspect attempted to snatch her car keys. Enquiries are ongoing.”
