Emergency services flooded a Northfield street this afternoon (Thursday 28th May) after a man was shot.
Local residents reported hearing gunshots before police resources and ambulances arrived in Gorsymead Grove, off Lower Beeches Road.
A man suffered gun shot injuries to his leg. Thankfully, they are not thought to be life-threatening.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police confirmed: “We are currently at a scene in Gorsymead Grove, Northfield, after reports of a gun being fired just before 4.30pm today.
“Officers found one man with gun shot wounds to his leg. He was taken to hospital by ambulance colleagues with injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.”
