West Midlands Police have arrested a man after students in Selly Oak were reportedly subjected to indecent exposure incidents over the last two months.Â
Officers had been investigating reports that university students had been targeted, with officers following several lines of enquiry.
Yesterday evening (Tuesday 5th May) an off-duty officer spotted a 38-year-old man who was suspected of being linked to the investigation. The officer detained the man until on-duty colleagues arrived. He was arrested on suspicion of exposure and taken into custody.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “We understand how distressing this kind of crime can be, and we always take reports of it seriously.”
