A man aged 38 is in custody following reports of indecent exposure in Selly Oak area.

He was arrested on suspicion of voyeurism, after reports from the Selly Oak area, over a period of two months.

West Midlands Police were investigating reports that university students had been targeted, and officers were following several lines of enquiry to establish who was responsible.

Tuesday evening (5th May), an off-duty officer spotted a man suspected of being linked to the investigation – the off-duty officer detained him before handing him over to on-duty who took him to custody.

West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “We understand how distressing this kind of crime can be, and we always take reports of it seriously.”
