The RSPCA would like to speak to a man who may have key information about an incident in which a dog appeared to be punched and slapped outside a shop in Kings Heath.
The alleged incident took place outside Tesco Express, Alcester Road South, at around 3.20pm on Sunday 16th of February.
Eye-witnesses said they saw a dog being punched then slapped before cowering down on the floor and this was reported to the animal charity.
RSPCA Animal Rescue Officer Katey Freckelton, who is investigating the incident, said: “CCTV which has been made available to the RSPCA appears to show the dog being punched and slapped.”
The RSPCA has released images of a man (pictured) who may have important information about the incident and the charity is appealing for him to come forward to potentially support their enquiries.
Katey added: “We would like to talk to this man about the incident as we believe he may have key information which could help our ongoing investigation.”
