Spring is finally here! The sun is shining, the days are getting longer, and it’s the perfect time to dust off your bike and take on a challenge that makes a real difference.

Cycle for St Basils is back on Saturday, 26th April 2025, offering two stunning routes through the historic canal network of the West Midlands—all in aid of helping young people out of homelessness.

Starting and finishing at St Basils in Digbeth, cyclists can choose between:

47.5 miles – A scenic but challenging route through Walsall and Wolverhampton.
23.5 miles – A shorter (but still rewarding!) ride via Great Barr and Tipton.

Whether you’re an experienced cyclist looking for a competitive challenge or just fancy a fun ride with friends, this event is the perfect way to get active while supporting a vital cause.

More Than Just a Ride – It’s a Lifeline

Every push of the pedal helps St Basils provide essential support to local young people at risk of homelessness. With the cost of living continuing to hit hard, more young people than ever need a safe place to stay and the right support to get back on their feet.

Barrie Hodge, Head of Fundraising and Communications at St Basils, said: “Cycle for St Basils is more than just a great day out—it’s a way to make a real impact in the lives of young people facing homelessness. The cost-of-living crisis is making things tougher than ever, and every pound raised from this event helps us provide a safe place to stay, life skills, and support to help young people rebuild their futures. Plus, with the sun finally making an appearance, what better way to spend a spring weekend than out on your bike, knowing you’re making a difference?”
