A woman was taken to hospital in a critical condition with life threatening injuries after falling from a Northfield car park yesterday (Tuesday 6th June).
A second woman suffered serious, non life threatening injuries in the incident in Bristol Road South at around midday.
Confirming the incident, a spokesperson from West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 12.06pm on Tuesday to an incident nearby to Bristol Road South in Birmingham. Three ambulances, a paramedic officer, a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic and a BASICS emergency doctor attended the scene.
“Upon arrival we found two women. The first woman had sustained life threatening injuries. She received advanced trauma care at the scene. The second woman had sustained serious, non life threatening injuries.
“She received treatment at the scene. Both were conveyed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham for further treatment.”
A West Midlands Police spokesperson added: “A woman has been taken to hospital with critical injuries after falling from the first floor of Northfield shopping centre car park around midday yesterday.
Another member of the public also received minor injuries as a result of the fall.”
