West Midlands Police are seeking offenders who made off from a car after it rammed a police car during a pursuit in Longbridge late last night (Tuesday 27th October).

A WMP spokesperson said: “Officers on patrol spotted a car travelling above the speed limit on the Bristol Road, heading towards Longbridge at 11pm yesterday.

”The car undertook officers and failed to stop, before officers from our firearms unit took over as advanced drivers.

“They were pursued for a distance, when the car rammed officers on Thelbridge Road and they fled on foot.”

The spokeswoman said that, fortunately, no offivers were injured in the incident. The car was subsequently seized for forensic examination and enquires are ongoing.
