Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced that England will enter a month long national lockdown next week as projected hospital admissions threaten the ability of the NHS to cope.Â

From Thursday 5th November, people are again being asked to ‘Stay at Home, Protect the NHS, Save Lives’.
Non-essential retail businesses are being forced to close, as are bars, pubs and restaurants with only take away or delivery catering allowed. Other non-essential service businesses are expected to be affected. The furlough scheme has been extended to support those who cannot work.
Where businesses can continue, people are again being asked to work from home if they can, but continue to go to work where they can’t, for example in the construction industry.
Education establishments – including nurseries, schools, college and universities – are to remain open. While higher and further eductaion establishments may offer some remote learning, children are expected to attend school.
