West Midlands Police (WMP) have seized vehicles and issued dozens of tickets for a variety of traffic offences as part of a successful ANPR Operation in Halesowen yesterday.
Officers from Halesowen Neighbourhood Team and the Road Harm Team conducted the operation.

Tickets were issued for illegal tinted windows, illegal tyres, no tax and not displayed a registration plate.
Two vehicles were also seized for no insurance.
WMP use ANPR technology to help detect, deter and disrupt criminal activity at a local and national level.

A spokesperson for WMP said: ANPR has proved to be important in the detection of many offences, including locating, for example, people wanted for arrest or missing, witnesses, stolen vehicles and uninsured vehicles.”
