A family have been left heartbroken after their pet dog was severely injured by callous thieves who broke into their Weoley Castle home.

Thieves broke in to the home in Alwold Road between 6pm and 7.30pm on Monday (2nd November), making off with designer jewellery – including Pandora and Vivienne Westwood items – before being disturbed.

The family’s 10 year old staffordshire bull terrier was also attacked by the intruder/s, suffering severe injuries. According to a family member, Theo ‘wouldn’t hurt a fly’ and was ‘brilliant’ with the family’s two young children.

Sadly, he suffered a fractured spine and internal injuries and had to be euthanased by a vet due to the severity of his injuries.

  1. Disgusting hateful scum. I hope they get their just returns – hopefully wrap the vehicle (more than likely stolen) around a tree, fatally killing them all! Sounds like they will attack whoever gets in their way, whatever the species is…

People like these just get a smacked wrist and left to roam around causing chaos.

I feel for the family and that poor dog, left to suffer by those yobs.

  2. I think we all need to be prepared for these scumbags entering your property and that depends on what time they decide to rob you of course,I would not think twice about sending them to the happy hunting ground if they entered my property at night ,these people are the low life’s of our society and deserve everything they get ☠️
