West Midlands Police have confirmed that they are investigating after a three members of the same family were injured during a violent robbery at a West Heath home earlier this week.

The incident happened at around 11am on Monday 18th May when a resident answered her door and four masked robbers forced their way into her Slingfield Road home.

During the attack two women in the house were assaulted: a woman in her 40s was hit with a metal bar, suffering a cut to the head; and a woman in her 20s was punched in the face.

A man in his 50s was then stabbed in the chest. Thankfully his injuries were not life-threatening.

The thieves made off with electronic equipment – including a work laptop, property of the NHS – and personl belongings.

Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and investigating officers are keen to hear from any witnesses, local residents with CCTV or passersby who may have dashcam footage.
