Armed officers were called to Gorsymead Grove, off Lower Beeches Road, after reports of a gun being fired just before 4.30pm.

Officers found one man who had suffered gun shot injuries to his leg. He was taken to hospital by paramedics and thankfully, his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Officers arrested two men yesterday from an address in Nottingham. A man aged 21 was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, and a 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Both men remain in custody for questioning.
