West Midlands Police are investigating after a teenage boy had his phone stolen in Longbridge last week, with the offenders claiming to be armed with a knife.

The boy was approached by two others in Bristol Road South between Longbridge and Rubery at around 9pm on Thursday 23rd October. His mobile phone and power bank were taken.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “Although the offenders claimed they had a knife, no weapon was seen.

“This would have, understandably, been a scary situation and we’re carrying out enquiries to identify who was involved.”
