West Midlands Police are investigating after reports of shots being fired in a Frankley street.

Boleyn Road was cordoned off this afternoon (Tuesday 22nd April) by officers at the corner of Jubilee Road while investigations were underway.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: “We’re carrying out enquiries after evidence of a firearm being discharged near the junction of Boleyn Road and Jubilee Road, Rubery.

“We’re in the early stages of our investigation and anyone with information can contact us via Live Chat on our website, or by calling 101, and quote log 198 of 22/4/25.”

It is unclear when the shots were believed to be fired at present as a number of local residents say that shots were heard last night. We will update if and when more information is available from police.
