Emergency services have confirmed that no-one was seriously injured when a car crashed through a shop front in Rubery village yesterday (Tuesday 27th August).
The car smashed into the Harrisons store in New Road at around 4.30pm. The male driver and a teenage girl – who was in the shop at the time of the collision – were checked by paramedics and discharged at the scene.
A spokesman for West Mercia Police said: “We received a call around 4.30pm yesterday afternoon (27 August) with a report of a road traffic collision on New Road in Rubery.
“Officers attended the incident to find one vehicle had left the road and collided with a shop.”
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said that one ambulance and a paramedic officer attended the scene.
He said: “On arrival we discovered two patients, a man, who was the driver of the car, and a female teenager, who was inside the shop. Both patients were assessed and discharged at the scene.”
