Man found with gunshot wound in Bartley Green incident – second man suffers fractured skull

West Midlands Police are investigating after two men suffered serious injuries during an incident in Bartley Green yesterday (Wednesday 28th August).

Officers attended an address in Clapgate Lane at around 5.40pm to were paramedics were treating a 48 year old man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to hospital in a serious condition.

A second man attended hospital with a fractured skull and remains in a stable condition. Police believe he was injured in the same incident.

Officers are now looking to establish where the incident took place.

A spokesperson for WMP said: “CCTV enquiries are underway to establish where the incident took place and we’re appealing for anyone who was in the area at around 5pm to get in touch.”
