Road users faced delays following a collision between a bus and a car in Northfield this afternoon (Monday 22nd April).
The collision happened just after 3pm in Bunbury Road.
A spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed that two men – the drivers of the bus and the car – were taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be serious.
Two passengers on the bus were assessed for minor injuries and discharged at the scene with self-care advice.
West Midlands Ambulance Service statement: “We were called at 3.07pm to a road traffic collision involving a car and a bus on Bunbury Road in Northfield, Birmingham. Two ambulances attended the scene.
“Upon arrival we found four patients. The first, a man who was the driver of the bus. He was assessed and had sustained injuries not believed to be serious. He received treatment from ambulance staff before being conveyed to [..] Hospital.
“The driver of the car was assessed by ambulance staff and had sustained injuries not believed to be serious and received treatment at the scene before being conveyed to [..] Hospital.
“Two passengers on the bus, a man and an elderly woman were assessed and had sustained minor injuries. They received self care advice before being discharged at the scene. No further patients required treatment.”
