A murder investigation has been launched after a man was found with stab injuries at a property in Bartley Green last night (4 Dec).
Sadly the man, in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene in Roundlea Road around 11pm and detectives are now trying to establish what happened.
A cordon remains in place while forensic examinations take place and officers are conducting house to house enquiries.
The Daily Star reported that neighbours said that there was a “Christmas party going on” at the property however, they claim to have heard very little from the party but saw the blue lights of the emergency responders.
The paper also said one resident told reporters at the scene: “I didn’t hear anything bab, I took a sleeping tablet and all I heard was one shout then saw blue flashing lights.”
Detective Inspector Jim Colclough, from the force’s homicide unit, said: “We are in the very early stages of our enquiry and we would like to hear from anyone who has any information about this tragic death.
“The man’s family has been informed and specialist officers will support them as our investigation continues.”
