Take on the challenge and become a brave ‘sole’ to support Hospice care.
Local charities, Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice and John Taylor Hospice are asking you to gather your ‘coal’leagues to take on a Firewalk on Saturday 16th October at the Sedgemere Club in Sheldon.
This is a great team building opportunity, where every sizzling step taken will help raise vital funds for individuals living with life limiting illness and their families across Birmingham.
Maria Goodwin, Community Campaigns and Digital Fundraising Manager at The Hospice Charity Partnership said; “We are excited to be able to put on our events in person again, and have this red-hot challenge for individuals, groups and companies to take part in. It is a great team building opportunity that will be a memorable evening for all, giving people the opportunity to walk bare foot on hot coals! After a challenging year, the funds raised will ensure that we can continue to provide vital care to those who need it most across Birmingham.”
Scott Bell, who is twice holder of the Guinness World Record for the greatest fire walking distance and is internationally known as one of the world’s leading experts on fire walking, will be leading the evening. You will be given prior training, so that you can take on this daredevil challenge and walk over the hot coals, for a once in a lifetime experience.
There is a registration fee of £25 and we ask that each person raise £75 in sponsorship. The funds raised will help ensure that many more people live well towards the end of their life, die in the place of their choice and have the best experience possible for themselves, their carers, family and friends.
Birmingham St Mary’s and John Taylor Hospices have recently merged and together form The Hospice Charity Partnership providing expert palliative and end of life care to people and their families living with life-limiting illnesses.
