A number of residents across south west Birmingham – particularly in Northfield and surrounding areas – have reported not having received any letterbox deliveries from Royal Mail for up to ten days.
A Royal Mail spokesperson today confirmed some services have been experiencing disruption due to COVID-related absence.
The spokesperson said: “The health and safety of our colleagues and our customers is our number one priority.
“In a limited number of areas, we are experiencing some disruption to service due to COVID related absences. In impacted areas, we are focused on providing as comprehensive a service as possible to our customers.”

Would have been a good idea for royal mail to make this announcement public a week ago This is I feel an important issue,
no ones fault but a curtesy statement should have been posted on local media.
A comprehensive service in B31 would be no post at all for well over a week??????
No post for a week here in B45, could they not divert services in other areas to clear the backlog?
I haven’t post here b31 for two weeks now
