A leading animal rescue charity is seeking a dedicated and loving home for a poorly cat rescued from a household where he lived with more than 40 others.
The RSPCA say finding 5 year old Jermaine the right home is his last chance at happiness.
Jermaine, who loves ear rubs, is currently in the care of the RSPCA at Newbrook Farm Animal Centre and Hospital in Frankley.
After his rescue, it became clear he was very unwell with kidney problems and the team began treatment to stabilise his condition.
Having fought for his health, Jermaine is now ready to find a home but will need a special home with an experienced cat owner who will understand his needs.
Emma Finnimore, cattery supervisor at RSPCA Newbrook Farm, said: “Poor Jermaine came into our care from a property with more than 40 other cats. When he arrived he was in very poor condition and he was very scared. We quickly realised that something wasn’t quite right and tests confirmed that he has stage 3 renal failure.
“We would love to find a kind person to offer him the loving home that he deserves and possibly never had before. He is on a special diet of renal food and he will need regular close monitoring with the vets.
“Jermaine is still a little shy but once he gets to know you he gains confidence and becomes a really cutie. He enjoys having fuss and ear rubs. As Jermaine lived with so many other cats in his previous home he would benefit from having a feline companion of a similar nature who will be kind and gentle with him and show him the value of life
“Jermaine enjoys having a gentle groom and he likes watching out the window, he loves his creature comforts and he spends most of his time in his bed.”
If you think you could offer Jermaine a place to call home, you can view his needs in detail and complete a perfect match form and email birmac@rspca.org.uk. The team at the rescue centre will be able to discuss Jermaine and his needs further with potential adopters.
