A big hearted 11 year old raises an amazing amount to pay back the NHS for saving her father’s life as he battled Leukaemia.
The bright and bubbly Kiki from the Hollymoor area in Northfield wanted to help the NHS during this pandemic time and to thank ‘the amazing doctors and nurses’ who helped her father – so she did!
A Just Giving page with a £100 target was initially set up – Kiki has smashed that target by raising over £1400 so far….
- Selling some of her own belongings
- Completed a 5K run
- Bake and sell her ‘delicious brownies’ to local chocolate lovers
Kiki’s very proud mother said: “Kiki has always been such a kind, caring girl, loves helping others and making people smile. We are all so very proud of the little lady she is becoming and we just know she will continue to make others happy throughout her life.””When Kiki started her Justgiving page, her target was only £100, so when she exceeded this on the first day she was absolutely blown away with the kindness people have shown.
“The first thing she does when she wakes up in the morning is check out her page and every donation no matter the size she skips around the house with so much excitement”
Not only has this fabulous young lady impressed us at B31 Voices with her kindness, local Councillor, Simon Morrall is also full of praise for Kiki.
Cllr Simon Morrall said: “Kiki is a beacon of light for our ward and a prime example of why our community is so special. I had the pleasure of meeting her and distributed her amazing Brownies to volunteers across our community.
“Such a simple gesture brought a smile to everyone’s face, and reminds us all during these difficult times, that kindness really can be the best medicine.”
