A taxi driver was attacked and his taxi stolen by two passengers yesterday evening (Sunday 31st March). The driver suffered multiple stab wounds as he tried to get away from the pair.
West Midlands Police are investigating the incident which happened between 6.30 and 7.15pm.
The passengers demanded money from the driver, but he refused to give them any and got out of the vehicle in Gildas Avenue, Kings Norton.
However, the two men followed the driver and stabbed him several times before driving off in his taxi.
The driver was taken to hospital and, despite his ordeal, thankfully his injuries were not thought to be life threatening.
The car was later recovered in Heathlands Grove, Northfield.
Officers are seeking CCTV images as their investigation continues. No arrests have yet been made.
