Night Care Worker (Part-Time, Nights)
Position: Night Care Worker
Hours: 20 hours per week
Shift Pattern: 2 x 10-hour night shifts
Shift Times: 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Pay rate £12.77

Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and compassionate Night Care Worker to provide high-quality overnight support to individuals in a residential or supported living setting. The role involves ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and comfort of service users throughout the night while promoting dignity, independence, and person-centred care.

Key Responsibilities
Provide overnight care and support to service users in line with individual care plans.
Carry out regular welfare and safety checks during the night.
Assist with personal care where required, including toileting, washing, dressing, and mobility support.

Respond promptly and calmly to emergencies or incidents.
Maintain accurate records, reports, and handover notes.
Support service users who may experience anxiety, distress, or disrupted sleep.
Ensure the environment remains clean, safe, and secure during the night shift.
Follow safeguarding, health and safety, infection control, and confidentiality procedures at all times.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate effectively during shift handovers.

Requirements
Previous experience in care, support work, or a similar role is preferred.
Caring, patient, and professional approach.
Ability to work independently during overnight shifts.
Good communication and record-keeping skills.
Understanding of safeguarding and person-centred care principles.
Flexibility and reliability.
Desirable
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or working towards).
Medication administration training (provided)
Experience supporting vulnerable adults, elderly individuals, or people with disabilities.
