    Joe Joe Jim’s isn’t your average bar — and we’re not looking for your average assistant Manager.

    Located 10 miles south west of the city centre 1 mile from Longbridge, near the Lickey Hills!

    We’re a family-run independent over 18s venue, a unique place, with live music and a curated selection of constantly rotating craft ales.

    We’re now looking for a Assistant Bar Manager to join our small but mighty team — someone who’ll keep things running smoothly behind the scenes and behind the bar.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Leading by example during busy shifts and serving behind the bar
    • Weekly staff rota planning
    • Supporting recruitment, staff training and assessment
    • Stock management, placing orders (especially for our 5 rotating beer taps) stock replenishment
    • Handling invoices and cash
    • Maintaining GP & staff cost ratio
    • Helping coordinate private events (birthdays, wakes, etc.)
    • Occasionally covering basic kitchen duties when needed (training provided)
      Developing and implementing inhouse advertising, menus, promotions
    • Ensuring high standards of cleanliness, tidiness within all areas.
    • Maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations as well as licensing laws.
    • Working closely with the owners to ensure high standards are maintained

    We’re looking for someone who:

    • Has experience in bar management or senior supervisory roles
    • Thrives during busy service and leads with confidence
    • Understands and appreciates ales, craft beer and cellar management
    • Is well-organised, tidy, detail-focused
    • Is personable, reliable, and a great team player
    • Has strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
    • Has excellent communication skills, with a focus on customer service excellence
    • Wants to be part of a venue with genuine community spirit
