West Midlands Police have confirmed that a man (21) has been arrested – and remains in custody – in connection with this incident.

A spokeswoman for West Midlands Police said: “A man has been arrested on suspicion of assault after another man was stabbed at a property on Ingoldsby Road in Birmingham yesterday just before 9pm.

”The teenage victim was taken to hospital for treatment to stab wounds to his back and chest, which fortunately are not life-threatening or life-changing. The 21-year-old suspect remains in custody.”

A man suffered serious injuries after being stabbed in Northfield yesterday evening (Sunday 21st July).

Police officers flooded the Ingoldsby Road area at around 8.30pm.

West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) sent multiple resources to the scene, including a critical care car and paramedic officer. An air ambulance landed close by in Victoria Common.

A WMAS spokeswoman said: “We were called at 8.36pm to reports of a stabbing on Ingoldsby Road, Northfield. An ambulance, paramedic officer, a critical care car and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance attended.

“Crews treated a man who had sustained serious injuries and was conveyed by land ambulance to a major trauma centre for onward care.”
