It was celebration time at Lye Meadow last night (Thursday 26th April) as Alvechurch F.C. achieved promotion to the new Step 3 Southern League Central Premier Division – their second promotion in as many seasons.
Promotion was secured in front of a 500 strong home crowd after earning the single point required in a highly contested 0 – 0 game against Bedworth United.
This has been a long hard season for the Church. The squad of players have performed with quality and determination on the pitch – whilst the backroom staff have worked tirelessly to make back-to-back promotion a reality.

This is a massive achievement for everybody involved in the club and next season will see them playing against the likes of Halesowen Town, Redditch United and AFC Rushden & Diamond.
Alvechurch F.C. Chairman Richard Thorndike said: “Back to back promotions is absolutely unbelievable. This very special group of players keep on surprising us. We are in dreamland!”
