
For the second year running, West Midlands Police’s Longbridge neighbourhood team have invited youngsters to take part in a Young Citizens Challenge.
Last year’s successful event at Waseley Hills Country Park saw around 200 year 6 pupils from local schools attended the event. Last year’s event organiser Acting Sergeant Karl Pierpoint said: “They were given personal safety messages from numerous providers and worked their way around 8 different scenarios, each providing a safety message.”
This year, PCSO Floody has continued the event and has opened it up to more schools and agencies. Agencies involved include:
- West Midlands Police,
- West Mercia Police,
- West Midlands Fire Service
- Hereford and Worcester Fire Service
- Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP)
- British Transport Police
- and more….
The event will run for two days and all schools across the ward have been invited.
