Students at Kings Norton Girls’ School & Sixth Form are celebrating another year of A Level success, with average outcomes exceeding national averages and students progressing to leading universities, degree apprenticeships and other exciting destinations across the country.
The results reflect the hard work, determination and resilience shown by students throughout their Sixth Form studies, alongside the dedication and support of staff, families and the wider school community.
The staff and School Board are very proud of the achievements of the Class of 2026 and are excited about the World of Opportunities that now lies ahead for them.
In September, students will take up places at some of the country’s leading universities, including the University of Oxford and a number of Russell Group universities, while many others will embark on degree and high-quality apprenticeships and professional pathways.
Students will go on to study a wide range of courses, including English Literature, Mathematics, History, Geography, Environmental Studies, Journalism, Engineering, Biomedical Sciences, Optometry, Business and Finance, Medicine and Games Design.

Student success stories
Marianne achieved A*, A*, A*, A and will go on to study Medicine at Oxford University.
“I am so happy with my time at sixth form, and I am very proud of myself as I really pushed myself. I am especially happy with my music grade. All the teachers I had were amazing and helped me so much, which I really appreciate. I am going to Oxford to study Medicine! I would like to give a shoutout to Miss C as she really pushed me. She made me think more critically.”
Joseph achieved A*, A*, A, and A (EPQ) and will go on to study History and Politics at Oxford.
“I am still a bit speechless to be honest, and I was in a lot of shock when I saw my results; I couldn’t believe it! I have had some incredible highs at sixth form, and when I did have lows, they were supported by my teachers.
It has all come together nicely, and my time here is something I will always look back on fondly. All of the teachers were sound, and even the small things like them checking in on me outside of lessons. I appreciate it. I feel so buzzed and happy I am going to Oxford to study History and Politics!”
Alicia achieved A*, A, A and will go on to study Sports Science at the University of Birmingham.
“It was so nerve-wracking opening my results, but I’m very happy with the outcome. I cannot fault my time at the sixth form. Every teacher I came across was very supportive. I am going to the University of Birmingham, which isn’t far from home, to study Sports Science.”
