A Birmingham street artist has left a touching remembrance tribute of a local Royal British Legion branch.
Staff at The Quarry Club in Northfield, home of the Austin Branch of the Royal British Legion, arrived on Saturday morning (31st October) to find an artwork by the front door of the club. The signature black and white work depicts a small girl handing a red poppy to a soldier.
The anonymous artist, who signs his works as ‘Disney’ and can be found on some social media platforms as Disney.B32, is known across Birmingham, the West Midlands and beyond for his stencilled pieces and his style has been likened to world renowned street artist Banksy.
Disney has previously posted artworks across south west Birmingham, one of the latest being a tribute to the work of The Edge Academy in Northfield.

The artist left the artwork by the alternative provision school’s front door in September and subsequently wrote to headteacher, Adam Smith, to confirm it was his work.
Disney wrote: “This has genuinely been one of my most pleasurable pieces to create, because of the clear message behind it – recognising a school willing to venture down alternative paths to engage young people and acknowledging that different young people can thrive through different forms of learning.
“The work is intended as a mark of recognition and respect for what The Edge, together with Solidskills, is doing for its young people.
“With admiration and respect, and yours in good faith, [Disney].”
