The local counsellor for Stirchley (Kamel Hawwash) joined residents in a friendly protest against the proposed building of a McDonald’s Drive-Through.
A large group of unhappy people – many of which were holding placards – gathered at the Stirchley Triangle (Hazelwell St) to show their disapproval of the international food giants plans.
With plethora of placards, some of which had slogans saying: “TRAFFIC IS BAO ENOUGH”, “Stirchley Is Not Lovin’ It (Again)”, “HOUSING NOT HAPPY MEALS?”, “DOWN WITH THE CLOWN”, they certainly made their feelings known.
Kamel Hawwash: “I joined residents at the very lively gathering against the McDonald’s Drive-Through project.
“The traffic on the Pershore Road approaching the site was heavy even before the Drive-Through has been opened.
“Please see my letter regarding this […] and look at this and the Co-op options.
“I will be sharing a second letter soon too.”
