Drugs, an imitation firearm, stun gun and knives were recovered after West Midlands Police (WMP) officers from Operation Fearless stopped two men for a search in Birmingham’s Southside area.
The pair, aged 18 and 22, were walking to a vehicle on Edgbaston Street when officers stopped and searched them on Tuesday (9th Sept) at around 5pm.
A knife was recovered, alongside several containers of codeine – a Class B drug.
Further enquiries led the officers to search an address in Kings Heath, where cannabis and a stun gun were recovered.
A woman aged 21 was arrested from that address.
At a second address in Quinton, WMP found more drugs, an imitation firearm and a machete hidden in a loft.
Det Insp Tom Lyons, from Operation Fearless, said: “This was great proactive work by Fearless officers, who are working hard to make Southside a safer place.”
