A woman accused of robbery will stand trial later this month after being charged by West Midlands Police (WMP) officers.
Stefania Kapati was arrested and charged by officers in connection with a robbery near Morrisons in Rubery on 29th April.
Shortly before 4pm, a 95-year-old woman was pushed to the ground and her purse was stolen, leaving her with injuries requiring hospital treatment.
Natalie said: “Nan ended up with a fractured hip but is thankfully doing ok. We are extremely thankful to all of the doctors and nurses that have taken care of her throughout this time.”
Following enquiries by (WMP) officers from the Birmingham LPA Neighbourhood Crime Team, a woman in her 20s was arrested.
Kapati, 29, was charged with robbery earlier this month and will appear at Birmingham Crown Court on 30th May for trial.
She has been bailed with strict conditions until this date.
