West Midlands Safari Park (WMSP) in Bewdley, have added a new accessible minibus to their fleet.
The award-winning visitor attraction’s accessible minibus means those who are unable to transfer from their wheelchairs will now be able to enjoy the parks Minibus Guided Tour.
The new wheelchair accessible vehicle (WAV) is equipped with an electric lift and a dedicated space for one wheelchair – It has been designed to ensure ‘a smooth and enjoyable experience through the Safari Drive’.
WMSP’s Minibus Guided Tours are a fantastic way to explore the Safari Drive with a knowledgeable guide and plenty of great views.
Disability advocate/activist, MT said: “Having a (WAV) available to enjoy a safari guided tour will make a big difference to those who are wheelchair bound and their family and friends.”
“This is definitely a step (excuse the pun) in the right direction of inclusivity – In the future I would urge consideration that there may be more than one wheelchair user in the party”
