A memorial service is taking place today (21st November) in the city centre on the 50th anniversary of the Birmingham pub bombings.

Fifty years ago today, bombs were detonated at the Mulberry Bush and Tavern in the Town pubs – the terrorist act devastated families and left a city in shock.

Twenty one innocent people lost their lives on the harrowing evening in 1974, with a further 220 victims left injured.

Our thoughts continue to be with all those affected by this atrocious act of violence on our city.
