West Midlands Police are appealing for information after a man was found injured in a Northfield street yesterday afternoon (Monday 28th October).

The man was found just after 4pm close to shops in Bristol Road South, near to the junction with St Laurence Road.

While police say his injuries were thankfully found to be not serious, officers are trying to determine exactly what happened and are appealing for any witnesses, or anyone with CCTV or dash cam footage, to get in touch.

A police spokesman confirmed: “We’re investigating after a man was found with injuries in Bristol Road South at just after 4pm yesterday (28 October).

“Thankfully these were not serious and we’re working to establish exactly what happened.”

A spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called to an incident on Bristol Road South in Weoley, Birmingham just before 4pm. An ambulance and a paramedic officer were sent to the scene where, on arrival crews discovered a man with serious injuries who, following treatment from ambulance staff, was conveyed on blue lights to hospital for further treatment.”
