West Midlands Police charged a man with attempted murder after another man was stabbed on the Bristol Road in Selly Oak.
Jalen Denny, 26, is also accused of possession of a knife.
WMP launched a major investigation after the 32-year-old victim was found injured near the junction with Dawlish Road just after 8.30pm on 1 June.
Denny appeared before city magistrates on the 5th June, and was remanded in custody before his next appearance at Birmingham Crown Court on 3th July.
The victim remains in a stable condition in hospital.
