A man was taken to hospital after sustaining injuries in a suspected stabbing in a Longbridge street this afternoon (Tuesday 7th November).

The incident happened at around midday in Kingswood Road.

West Midlands Ambulance Service paramedics, critical care and trauma doctor attended the scene. The man’s injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.

A spokeswoman for WMAS confirmed: “We were called at 12.10pm to reports of a stabbing on Kingswood Road in Northfield [Longbridge], Birmingham.

“One ambulance, a paramedic officer and a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic attended the scene.

“Upon arrival we found a man with non-life threatening injuries. He received treatment from ambulance staff at the scene and was conveyed to hospital for further assessment.”

West Midlands Police have been contacted for comment.
