Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal collision on the eastbound carriageway of A38 from junction 4 of the M5.
The collision happened at around 7.05am on Tuesday 20th June and involved a black Mini One car which left the road and collided with a tree.
A 49-year-old woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries and sadly she died in hospital yesterday (Wednesday 21st June).
PC Ben Allchurch said: “Our thoughts are with the woman’s family and friends at this sad time. I would like to appeal for any witnesses to the collision to come forward or anyone who was passing through the area around the time of the collision who may have dash-cam footage”.
