A license application for a new bar and music venue has been made for a property in Rubery village centre.
New Coventry based company KMCH Ventures Ltd has submitted the application to Bromsgrove District Council to enable it to serve alcohol and play background music, as well as staging live acoustic performances.
The bar would be at 160a New Road, the former Kids Essentials school uniform shop, next to the New Road entrance to St Chad’s Park.
The application seeks permission to serve alcohol between 11am – 1am Monday to Saturday, and until midnight on Sundays.
Permission to play recorded music between 10am and midnight Monday to Thursday and until 1am on Friday, Saturday and Sunday is also sought, along with a licence to perform live music between midday and midnight Sunday to Thursday, finishing at the later time of 1am on Friday and Saturday.

Another brain storming idear….
The whole road is full of takeaways selling junk food. About time we had something different to inject a bit of pizazz on to a tired and forlorn looking high street. Who said anything about ‘banging’ music? Honestly, killjoys won’t be happy until the high street further declines and becomes a tatty soulless place. Embrace change!
Bit more life for Rubery. I doubt acoustic music will be ‘Banging’ .
